Katherine Borden, PhD
Role: Principal Investigator, Scientific Investigator
Dr Borden is a laboratory head at the Institute for Research
in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC) and Professor of
Pathology and Cell Biology at the Université de Montréal.
Dr Borden holds a Canada Research Chair in Molecular Biology
of the Cell Nucleus. Her laboratory has been interested in
studying various mechanisms of post-transcriptional regulation
and how these relate to oncogenesis. Her laboratory uses basic
molecular biology, cell biology, biophysics and structural
biology in order to understand the molecular underpinnings

Dr Sarit Assouline, MD
Role: co-Principal Investigator, Clinical Investigator at the Jewish General Hospital
Dr Assouline is an hemotologist-oncologist at the Jewish General
Hospital, a McGill University affiliated hospital. She is an
Assistant Professor in the Department of Oncology at McGill.
Dr Assouline is responsible for the day to day running of this
trial. Dr Assouline is highly experienced in setting up clinical
trials.
Dr Julie Bergeron, MD
Role: co-investigator, Clinical Investigator at Hopital Maisonneuve
Dr Bergeron is a senior hematologist-oncologist at HMR and has substantial experience running clinical trials in this area. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Montreal in the Department of Hematology.
Dr Brian Leber, MD
Role: co-investigator, McMaster University Medical Centre
Dr Leber is a clinical hematologist and Professor of Medicine based at McMaster University Medical Centre with many years of experience in hematology clinical trials.
Wilson Miller, MD, PhD
Role: co-investigator, Clinical Investigator at the
Jewish General Hospital.
Dr Miller is the Director of Leukemia Clinical Trials at the
Jewish General Hospital, a McGill University affiliated hospital.
He is the senior clinical collaborator at the Jewish General.
Effie Cocolakis, PhD
Role: clinical trials specialist
Dr Cocolakis is the clinical trials specialist at the Clinical
Research Unit of the Jewish General Hospital. She is involved
in patient recruitment, consent, writing the Case Report Forms,
and collecting the data for analysis. She coordinates the efforts
of all the trial centres.
